Winchester model 1873 saddle ring carbine, .44-40 caliber with all features as standard on carbine, serial #371704B. The carbine shows traces of original blue drifting to patina and perhaps as much as 10-20% overall. There is some scattered light to moderate erosion and some light cleaning, mostly on the right forward 12” of barrel. The barrel address is good and sharp, the caliber marking is good, the front sight blade is anold replacement using a half copper coin. The forend shows pommel wear from being carried over a saddle. The buttstock has been lightly refinished, the bottom tang has been bent by the area of the serial number. The calibermarking on the lifter is good, action good, bore good and still bright. The original dust cover, carbine rear sight, and small parts are retained. A far better than average 73 carbine. Est: $1,500 - $3,000
