Winchester model 1873 lever-action rifle, .44-40 caliber, 24” octagon barrel, full magazine, rifle butt, set trigger, serial #194826B. The rifle remains in good original condition showing considerable traces of blue mixed in with a browning patina. The metal surfaces show some light to moderate scattered pitting and erosion with good edges and good barrel address. The loading gate shows 30-50% original blue, the stocks aregood with some scratches, mars, small losses, and even wear. The rifle retains its original rear sight, dust cover, small parts. The bore is good to very good and still somewhat shiny. The right front of forendshows a sliver of wood that is missing approx. 3/4” by 1/4” at widest part. At least 10% also. There is some heavier pitting on the front left edge of muzzle and magazine tube. A very acceptable 73 with one specialorder feature. Est: $1,500 - $3,000
