Winchester model 1873 lever-action rifle, .22 short caliber, old nickel finish, 24” octagon barrel, rifle butt, full magazine, serial #428666B. The rifle shows 40-60% old nickel finish which is evenly drifting andtoning. Areas where the nickel has lifted are going a dark brown patina with some pitting and erosion. The stocks have been lightly refinished, one buttplate screw is missing. The markings are good, the edges are good,the extractor is missing. An original magazine tube with nickel finish is included. The lifter shows good .22 caliber short marking, the action is good, bore is worn and shows a ring. Probably nickel plated for agallery or wild-west show during the period of its use.
