Winchester model 1866 lever action rifle, .44 rimfire caliber, 24" octagon barrel, full magazine, crescent butt, with select semi-burl walnut stock in very good plus original condition with beautiful deep honey colored frame, slingswivels, #66745. The rifle retains approx. 50-70% original blue evenly drifting and toning to a pleasing patina with good sharp markings and edges and some areas of bright blue. The frame is exceptional with unaltered sideplates and a deeporiginal uncleaned patina. The rifle shows exceptional wood stocks of the quality normally found on an engraved gun and appear to be a hand-rubbed high polish oil finish. The original rear sight is retained, correct rimfire internalparts. Good action, fair bore. Few of these semi-deluxe 66 rifles remain un-engraved as forgers from the 1950's to current times love to engrave them. Est: $7,000 - $14,000
