Winchester model 1866 lever action rifle, .44 Henry rimfire caliber, serial #28289. The rifle remains in fair to good original condition showing a lightly cleaned grey brown patina finish on barrel and magazine. The barrel address shows retracing with engraver. The edges show some cleaning and coloring. The rifle shows a later Winchester 3-leaf sight in the original dovetail and a correct front sight in its dovetail. The stocks are old hand-made replacements showing age and are just slightly oversized. The buttplate has been lightly cleaned. The frame shows some wear from carry at the edges. The action tight, still in rimfire, the bore fair to good. The front sling swivel is replaced, the rear sling swivel is missing. A representative ’66 rifle that was carried, used, repaired, and improved. Est: $2,500 - $5,000

Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries.
