Winchester late first Model 1873 lever action rifle, .44 cal., 24” octagon barrel, thumbprint dust cover, blue finish, wood stocks, #8622. This gun is in overall very good to fine condition showing approx. 30%original blue on barrel and loading tube with approx. 65% original bright blue on the receiver, bore should clean to near fine, crisp action, sharp markings, very good to near fine wood stocks with some scatteredmars and scratches from carry and storage including an old mar to the top of the butt stock; a very early ’73 with lots of blue on the receiver and desirable thumbprint dust cover.
