Winchester Pre-64 model 70 factory heavy barrel, .257 Roberts caliber, 24” barrel, target type stock, serial #83359. The rifle remains in very good plus original condition, showing 90-95% thinning at magazine andedges of barrel. Two extra tap holes in barrel which are filled by screws for scope. There is a plus in the front barrel dovetail. The stock shows a light coating of varnish but no sanding with a few minor scratches and mars. Adjustable forward sling position, milled steel buttplate. Good action, fine bore. There is an indentation in the stock and slight marks on the receiver from side-mounted receiver sight. A scarceheavy-barrel model 70 in this caliber. Est: $700 - $1,400
