This is a Winchester Model 94 lever action saddle ring carbine rare Golden Spike Commemorative firearm. Winchester produced the carbine in 1969 to commemorate the driving of the Golden Spike that connected the East and West coasts for the first time in 1869, the 100th anniversary. The carbine shows a 20” round barrel, full magazine, twin plated barrel bands, gold plated frame, blued finish, sporting sights, deluxe walnut stocks, plated checkered shotgun buttplate, and special coin inlaid in right side of stock. The piece comes in the original box with the original paperwork. This also comes with the tag from Woolworth, where it was purchased in 1969 for $88.88. Possibly never fired or only fired a few times. Normal slight wear for age. Serial number GS11574.
