Winchester Model 70 XTR Sporter magnum, .338 Winchester Magnum caliber, fully and finely deep scroll engraved with flush gold animal portrait inlays in borders with fancy checkered deluxe burl walnut stock in fleur de lis patterns. Serial #G1650000. One of a group we believe were used by Winchester and subsequently purchased by Mr. Robert Petersen. The rifle shows very deep and finely cut European type scrolls with four flush inlays on action of antler game. The floorplate is engraved in scroll with a stylized African shield and spear. The stocks show a fine burl wood grain and are fancy checkered with raised borders and show a hard-wood forend cap, probably rosewood, with a satin type finish and English type leather pad. The bolt and magazine follower are engine turned. The action is nicely bordered in flush gold lines. The condition is fine to excellent and shows no firing, 99% plus. Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries.
