Manufactured 1939 to 1960. The right rear of the barrel is marked with the two line address, the right rear of the receiver is marked with the two line address "PATENTED" marking and the two line "WINCHESTER / TRADE MARK" is marked on the right side of the front receiver ring. The left rear of the barrel is marked with the Winchester Trade Mark, model, Proof Steel and caliber designation with the Winchester oval proof on the left side of the barrel and receiver at the breech. The barrel is equipped with a globe front sight, two scope mount bases at the breech end and the receiver is fitted with a Redfield International Match peep sight. There is a 3" dovetailed palm rest rail attached to the front of the trigger guard plate, single round magazine, adjustable serrated target trigger, the barrel has a matte blue finish, matte gray finish on the receiver and the trigger guard and bolt handle are polished blue. Mounted with a one-piece pistol grip stock with a Freeland style forend stop on the accessory rail, checkered steel buttplate and sling swivels.

Condition: Excellent. The barrel retains 99% original matte blue finish. The receiver retains 99% matte gray finish with some edge wear. The bolt handle retains 90% original blue finish with some thinning and areas of smooth gray. The trigger guard retains 98% original blue finish with some thinning and edge wear. The revarnished stock is very fine with most of the varnish remaining and a few scattered minor dings and dents. The markings remain sharp. The action is excellent.
