Winchester Model 21 Skeet Grade Double Barrel Shotgun
This is an excellent example of a Winchester Skeet Grade shotgun. The shotgun has 28" barrels with a ivory bead front and nickel bead mid sight on the solid concave matte rib. 2 3/4" chambers with chokes marked "WS-1" and "WS-2" with ejectors. The left rear of the left barrel is marked "WINCHESTER - 12 GAUGE / 2 3/4 CHAM." and the bottom receiver plate is marked "SKEET" directly ahead of the trigger guard. Winchester proof steel marked barrels, matching serial number and two Winchester oval proofs on the barrel flats and a Winchester oval proof on the right side of the water table and the three line Made in U.S.A. Model 21, address marking on the left side. Single trigger with selector, tang mounted automatic safety with gold "SAFE" and mounted with a nicely figured checkered walnut beaver tail forearm and pistol grip stock with a hard rubber Winchester grip cap, 3/4" extension and leather covered recoil pad. Length of pull is 14 3/4" inch, drop at comb is 1 1/2" and a 2" drop at the heel. Complete with two nickel A.F. & Co. snap caps.

Condition: Fine as partially refinished(buttstock). The shotgun retains 97% original blue finish with some wear on the muzzle and breech ends of he barrels, a number of small minor scratches on the muzzle end of the barrels and some wear on the fences and high edges. The stock has been refinished and overall the wood is very fine with a couple of minor scratches on the left side at the toe, with a few light overall handling marks and very crisp checkering. The markings are crisp and clear. Mechanically excellent.
