‘Skeet Grade’ Expertly restored side-by-side double barrel boxlock shotgun chambered for 2 3/4" 20 gauge shells. Manufactured in New Haven, CT circa 1952.
Features a blued refinish, 28" barrels with matted solid rib & fixed chokes marked WS-2 / WS-1, selective ejectors, red Bradley front sight, steel mid-bead, single trigger with push button barrel selector, non-automatic tang safety, knurled top lever, oil finished walnut beavertail forend with diamond pattern checkering and pistol grip shoulder stock with bakelite grip cap and checkered bare butt. Stock dimensions – drop at comb 1 9/16”, drop at heel 2 1/4”, length of pull 13 7/8” and cast-off approx. ¼”. Matching serial numbers are found on the receiver, barrels, forend and forend metal.
Includes a Cody letter stating it was “Made for: Stock” and confirming its current configuration as original with exception of a few stock dimensions. Also includes a canvas wrapped, partitioned trunk case with snap caps, oiler bottle & cleaning tools. Shotgun retains approximately 98% of its professional refinish showing some superficial scratches and a small ding on the top of the receiver where it meets the right barrel. The action is tight with the top lever standing center, the bores are excellent / bright with the chokes measuring IM / CLY w/ a drop in choke gauge and walnut stocks are near excellent with a small chip missing on the left side of the forend near the centerline of the barrel.
Condition is near NRA Excellent as restored.
