Introduced by Winchester in 1931 the Model 21 was one of the companies finest efforts with regard to quality, reliability and strength. The model was introduced as a production line gun and moved to the custom shop in 1960, but it was in fact, a hand-build custom-made shotgun from the beginning. This Skeet Grade shotgun was manufactured from 1936 to 1959 and features a red front bead and brass mid bead sights on a concave matte rib barrel with 2-3/4 inch chambers and choked WS1 / WS2 with ejectors. The left rear barrel is marked "MODEL 21 - WINCHESTER / -TRADE MARK- - 12 GAUGE/ 2 3/4". The bottom of the trigger guard plate is marked "SKEET". The water table is jeweled and marked with the model designation and address on the left side. The Winchester oval proof is marked on the right side of the water table and each barrel flat. The flats and lug are jeweled. The forearm and barrels are numbered to the gun. Single trigger with selector, tang mounted manual safety and mounted with checkered, extra fancy walnut beaver tail forearm and straight grip stock with a checkered bare butt and "COH" inscribed silver initial oval. Length of pull is 13 3/4".

Condition: Period refinished with 98% blue factory quality finish remaining. There is some mild wear on the muzzle and breech ends of the barrel and some high edge wear. The wood is excellent with almost all of the original finish remaining, showing a number of light scratches in the finish on the bottom of the forearm and overall a few minor dings and chips in the finish. The markings are clear. Mechanically excellent.
