Winchester Model 1897 U.S. marked pump action Trench pump action takedown shotgun, 12 gauge, 2-3/4” chamber, CYL choke, 20” barrel, old re-blued finish, wood stocks, pat. marked ventilated hand guard on barrel with bayonet lug,woven sling, #940329 in overall used good condition showing the majority of an old re-blued finish, good bore, action and barrel markings including Winchester proof and ordinance flaming bomb proof on the top of the barrel at the breech; also “U.S.” stamped on the lower left side of the receiver; the butt stock shows wear with scattered mars and scratches, an old loss to the bottom toe, a replacement Winchester checkered hard rubber butt plate and a “W.B.” inspector’scartouche on the left side of the butt stock; the forend wood is in near fine condition and a replacement piece; the sling is in very good condition and is a “No Buck” brand with patent date of 7-21-14. Also included is a tan canvasmuzzle cover marked “US” and dated “1944”. (C&R/PPT). Est.: $1,000-$2,000.
