It has a raised Lyman blade front sight (bead missing) and a sporting type rear sight with the standard two line address/patent dates on the left side of the receiver, three line model designation/trademark information on the upper tang and the serial number on the lower tang. Mounted on a nicely figured checkered Schnabel forearm and straight grip stock with ebony forearm insert and shotgun buttplate. The accompanying copy of a Cody Museum letter confirms the serial number, rifle configuration, and caliber. The rifle was received in the warehouse on May 15, 1906, shipped on August 17, 1906 and returned for repairs on September 11, 1906 (type of repairs not listed but most likely deluxe upgrade).

Condition: Fine as factory upgraded to deluxe configuration. The rifle retains 40% original blue finish with the balance a smooth brown patina showing some minor spotting. The wood is fine with a repaired chip on the right side of stock wrist and some minor handling marks with some minor blemishes in the overall crisp checkering.
