Very fine. The barrel retains 75% of the slightly faded original blue finish with some thinning along the top. The receiver has nearly 85% of the high polish blue with finish wear along the upper and lower edges. The bottom of the magazine and sides of the loading lever have moderate handling wear and have faded to a blue-brown patina. The rear portion of the magazine and loading lever mechanism have the cycling wear found on nearly all Model 1895 rifles. The case colors on the crescent buttplate have faded to a silver gray. The stock and forearm are very fine with most of the original varnish finish and only minor handling wear. The barrel and receiver markings are crisp. This is a very early and desirable Winchester Model 1895 Flat-Side Sporting Rifle in very good to excellent condition.
