Winchester Model 1894 lever action rifle with 26” round barrel, full magazine, rifle butt, in .30-30 Winchester caliber, serial number 16534 made about 1896 to 1897. The rifle remains in very good condition showing an old re-blued finish of which 90% to 95% remains and is starting to age and tone nicely. The markings are all very good and the edges are fairly crisp. The rifle is been period fitted with Marble sights in the original dovetails. The stocks also are lightly refinished with some small losses and slight defects. The action is good and the bore is good with normal wear. These early 94 rifles were advertised as “The Klondike Rifle” by Winchester and many headed north to Alaska on America’s last frontier during their gold rush which was when this 94 was made.
