Winchester Model 1894 Lever Action Saddle Ring Carbine
Manufactured in 1920. Pinned blade front sight with bead, sporting folding leaf rear sight, short range tang mounted peep sight, full length magazine tube and saddle ring stud and ring mounted on the left side of the receiver. The front sight has a unique period modified hood that is part of the barrel band. Standard two line left side barrel address/patent date marking following by the two line nickel steel/smokeless powder and caliber markings. The upper tang is stamped with the three line model/trademark. Mounted with a smooth forearm and straight grip stock with a replacement hard rubber buttplate with checkering and intertwined "SC" monogram.

Condition: Good. The barrel and magazine retain 70% original finish with some thinning to brown on the magazine, a small area of minor pitting at the breech end of the magazine and some minor spotting on the barrel. The receiver, bolt and lever have a smooth mottled silver gray patina with some traces of original dark blue in protected areas. The non factory period replacement wood is very good with a small minor gouge on the left side of the forearm, a minor crack in the front of the forearm and overall scattered minor dings and dents. The markings are clear and crisp. The action is excellent.
