Winchester Model 1894 Lever Action Rifle, #424546, .32 Win. Spec. CF cal., 26'' half round-half octagon barrel, dovetailed bead-blade front and small folding-leaf rear sights, marked with maker's name, address and 1894 patent date on top flat, ''Nickel Steel Barrel/Especially for Smokeless Powder'' and caliber at left breech; button mag tube below; receiver has loop operating lever that opens breech for auto cartridge chambering/top ejection, a screw-adjustable Lyman peep tang sight, and marked with the ser. no. at bottom front; oil-finished walnut forearm with steel nosecap and matching buttstock with steel crescent buttplate. Mfg'd ca. 1907, with blued barrel and mag tube, and case hardened lever, hammer and buttplate. Condition is fine. Barrel and mag tube retain approx. 85% thinning original blue, receiver shows 20% thin blue, lever and hammer with dark traces of case colors, buttplate bright gunmetal gray. Stocks are solid with normal use marks, oil darkening at receiver, and retain much finish. Sharp edges and markings; action is crisp; bore is bright with deep rifling. Quite unusual with half-round/half-octagonal barrel and button mag. Est.: $800-$1,200. (C&R)
