Winchester Model 1894 Lever Action Rifle with Cody Letter
Manufactured in 1904. Lyman blade front sight with bead, three leaf (two folding) rear sight, and 1/2 length magazine tube. The top barrel flat is marked with the two line address/1894 patent date, the upper left side with the two line nickel steel/smokeless powder marking and "30 W.C.F." on top at the breech. The standard three line maker. Model trademark marking is on the upper tang and the serial number is on the bottom of the frame. Mounted with a smooth forearm with steel end cap and straight grip stock with crescent buttplate.

Condition: Fine as modified. The barrel and magazine tube have been shortened to their present length. The barrel retains 90% original thinning blue finish with high edge wear and some areas of smooth brown patina. The bolt retains most of the original blue finish. The receiver shows signs of cleaning with an abrasive material and is mostly a smooth brown with streaks of original blue. The hammer and lever show much of the original case colors with a gray patina on the balance. The wood is very good with minor dings and dents. The markings are clear. The action is very good.
