The Signal Corps issued the 1894s were ordered to guard the Sitka spruce trees, for this reason collectors have termed the rifles “Spruce Guns”. The generally accepted serial number range for the Spruce Guns are 830,000-855,000. This particular rifle has been a suspected 'Spruce Gun' forgery. Condition is NRA Good+ *** C&R Firearm ***
