Winchester Model 1892 saddle ring carbine in .44-40 caliber showing brown patina finish in early production range, serial number 83880. The metal surfaces show an even brown patina with scattered light to moderate erosion and pinprick pitting. The tang has been broken and repaired with bronze brazing. There are some oversize replacement screws also in the tang. The butt stock shows some loss on the right side that is significant and some smaller losses. The forend is good. The original rear sight is retained and the action is good. The bore is fair to good. Est.: $
