Winchester Model 1892 saddle ring carbine in .44-40 caliber, serial number 88433 for 1894 with documentation as having been used by outlaws Butch Cassidy and Harry Longabaugh aka the Sundance Kid during the climactic shootout in which bothoutlaws perished following their daring theft of the payroll from the Aramayo Mining Company payroll transport near Tupiza, Bolivia which was immortalized by the classic film showing the ferocious battle at the end of the movie. Thiscarbine retains 50%-70% original blue and is in very good original condition showing some minor scratches, mars and normal use. The stocks also are very good plus with some minor losses, light scratches and just normal aging. The markings aregood and the bore is good to very good. The documentation mentions this Winchester by serial number and the fact it was recovered by Captain Justa Concha of The Albaroa Special Force Cavalry Unit attached to the Bolivian Army. The documentsare from Concha's descendants and the a newspaper printed by the Bolivian Army and the provenance traces the Winchester from Nov. 7th, 1908 to modern times.
