Winchester Model 1892 lever action rifle in .38-40 caliber with 24” octagon barrel, full magazine, rifle butt manufactured about 1894, serial number 19706. The barrel and magazine tube retain 40% to 60% original blue mixed in with a brown patina.There is some scattered light to moderate erosion and just beginning pinprick pitting. There are some minor scratches on the barrel and tube. The barrel address is good and sharp. The frame shows 20% to 30% blue mixed with brown and also someminor erosion and areas of pinprick pitting. The bolt shows most of the original blue with traces on the loading gate. The hammer and lever show 20% to 40% case hardening and the butt plate is mostly drifted to silver. The original sights areretained, the action is good and the bore is fair to good with wear to the rifling and is still fairly clean. The stocks are good to very good with some minor imperfections and a small nail in the belly of the stock. A couple of losses alongthe top edge of the forend, some minor scratches, slight cracks and just normal aging. Est.: $1500-$3000
