SN: 269426 'Stinger' lever action rifle manufactured circa 1904. Features 20" barrel, half length ("button") magazine, pinned blade front sight, dovetail rear sight with one standing & one folding leaf, saddle ring, carbine butt, smooth walnut forend & straight wrist stock. Bore is fair condition, pitted and slightly dark, with good rifling. Metal surfaces are dull gray bare metal with spots of smooth dark patina. tiny pits throughout. Wood is fair condition, lightly sanded and varnished, eroded at tang, many dents & dings. Butt has seven cuts to top and two to bottom, appear to be purposefully cut notches. Markings are mostly sharp, including Wasp image and "THE STINGER" on barrel. Two line barrel address is a bit shallow. Included factory letter verifies this rifle as a "Stinger" model, shipped as a 44 cal with half magazine.
