Winchester Model 1890 .22 Short Gallery Gun
This is an excellent Winchester Repeating Arms Co. Model 1890 slide-action pump rifle chambered in the rare .22 short caliber. The Model 1890 is referred to as the "Gallery Gun" as it only accepts .22 short caliber. The Gallery Gun Model 1890 in .22S received its nickname due to the fact that it was mainly found at early American Shooting Galleries. The repeating slide action .22 was designed by John Browning and Matthew Browning when they were developing a replacement for the Model 1873 in rim fire. This rifle features a 24 inch octagon barrel with original sporting sights and tubular magazine (replaced). This shows the original walnut hardwood straight grip stock with crescent metal butt and replaced foregrip. Overall shows handling wear with a dark patina and freckling, but is a rare example. Serial Number of 604092A, manufactured in 1920. Curio & Relic long gun requires Curio & Relic, FFL Transfer or Nics background check.
