Winchester Model 1886 take-down rifle with rare stainless steel 22" round barrel, period custom stocks of premium quality attributed to Griffin & Howe, serial # 158656. The rifle is in very good plus to near fine condition with 70-80% blackenamel on barrel, 40-50% thinning blue on frame, sharp markings, excellent bore. The stock is very professionally made and several knowledgeable collectors agree the style is similar to G & H but no factory records exist on these late serialnumbers. Rare with stainless steel. Est. $2,500-$5,000.
