Winchester Model 1886 special order rifle, .45-70 cal., half round/half octagon barrel, takedown frame, checkered deluxe pistol grip stocks, half magazine, Lyman rear and Jack sights, serial #132296, Winchester Expressfolding rear sights, shotgun butt, rubber recoil pad, targeted received in the warehouse December 9, 1904 and shipped on the same day, returned and repaired May 6, 1905, with all features verified by factoryletter. One feature that is not mentioned in the factory letter is the stock is of custom proportions with a lower comb than normally found, stock measures 14" to the end of the wood, 14-3/4" to the end of the factory pad. The barrel shows 75-85% toning original blue finish with some erosion, pinprick pitting just starting, the loss of finish at the edges. The barrel address and markings on the barrel are sharp. The frame shows 40-60% original finish drifting on high points and edges, and the finish on the takedown collar and forend cap has drifted to traces. The magazine shows most of its blue. Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries. International buyers agree to pay all cost incurred including all shipping, insurance, exporter fees, all custom and duty fees associated with shipment. Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Regulations apply and MUST be strictly followed.
