Winchester Model 1886 saddle ring carbine remaining in exceptional near fine original condition, serial number 111188. This carbine retains 80% to 90% plus original blue on barrel and magazine tube that is evenly thinning and aging nicely. The frame shows 60% to 80% original case hardening with some very fiery and brilliant areas also just starting to tone and age naturally with some scattered erosion just starting and minor natural age. The stocks are near fine with just a minimal amount of handling and a couple of minor bumps but very near excellent overall. The bolt and loading gate show bright original blue. There is an extra-large factory type folding rear sight in the original rear dovetail and all other small parts for carbine are retained. The action is crisp and the bore is bright showing a little use. Factory information sheet confirms carbine, caliber and shipped 3/23/1897 to order number 5696. Keith and Lori Candee Collection.
