Winchester Model 1886 lever action rifle in .33 caliber with takedown frame and 24” barrel, full magazine, shotgun butt, serial number 128487. This rifle remains in very good plus to near fine original conditionshowing 85% to 95% original blue on barrel and magazine tube. There is some slight losses on the edges and on the takedown lever. The takedown collar shows 90% original blue and the forend cap shows traces of blue going to patina with some light erosion. The frame shows approximately 20% original blue that has drifted and areas where the finish has been lost are going to a nice natural brown-gray patina. There has been some lightcleaning on the tang around model marking. The lever and hammer show 50% to 70% original case hardening that is aging nicely. The stocks are also very good plus with just some minor scratches, mars, slight dings andlight normal age. The wood to metal fit is excellent.
