Winchester Model 1886 lever action rifle, 40-70 cal., special order 28” octagon barrel, blue and case hardened finish, wood stocks, #113146. This gun is in overall very good condition showing approx. 70% original blue on the barrel assembly with some high point wear and some scattered areas of erosion and pitting; some light traces of original case color on the receiver that for the most part, has gone to a silvery color. The action is crisp, the bore is overall good to very good, the markings are strong and the wood is in overall very good condition showing scattered minor nicks, mars and scratches from carry and storage. The rear sight is a later flip up replacement and there is a Lyman-type adjustable tang sight . Est.: $2,000-$4,000.
