Winchester Model 1886 Special Order Rifle, serial #137477, 45-70 cal., 22” nickel steel bbl, plain trigger, ½ mag., take-down, extra light, shotgun butt (rubber). Received in warehouse Sept. 4, 1906 shipped Oct. 2 to order #69827. The rifle shows 40-60% evenly thinning and drifting blue finish, some bright metal where finish has lifted. The stock is good to very good with slight dings, mars, scratches and normal aging. There is an area of mistreatment to the wood on the left rear of buttstock near butt plate which extends 2-3 inches and is ½” wide and is from abrasion. The markings are good and a king rear sight is added. Action good, bore very good and still bright. Est. $2,500-5,000
