Very good plus. Approximately 20% thinning original blue remains on the barrel the balance is now a mottled brown patina with handling marks and dings scattered. The frame has silvered out to an even gray patina with minor spotting and some light surface scratches. The hammer and lever show muted but still visible original case colors. The lightly sanded wood is very good exhibiting pressure marks and scuffs scattered and a sliver of wood missing on top rear tang. The action is solid, all markings are clear and crisp. A solid representative example of a Winchester Model 1886 Saddle Ring Carbine.
