Fair. The barrel and magazine tube have a smooth brownish gray patina. The receiver is a mix of smooth gray and smooth silver gray patina. The foreword portion of the loading gate has been repaired crudely along with the receiver slot having been pryed up. There is a crude period "GH" scratched into the upper left rear of the receiver. The hammer and lever have a smooth dark patina. The wood is good with a series of pressure dents on the upper left side of the forearm, a number of notches cut into the upper left front of the forearm, "GH" scratched into the top of the comb ahead of the buttplate tang, and overall scattered minor dings and scratches. The markings are clear. The action is fine.
