Description: For your collection, we offer for sale this nice, Winchester Model 1886 .38-56 caliber lever action rifle. Based on a John Browning design, the model 1886 was introduced to take advantage of the more powerful centerfire cartridges being introduced at the time. There were approx. 160,000 of them produced between 1886 and 1935. This one has an octagon barrel with a full length magazine tube. The wood appears original as does the rest of the parts. There is little to no finish on the barrel and the finish on the frame is a little better. Maker: Winchester. Approx. Age: 1890. Serial# 46462. Size: Barrel measures 26” with an overall length of 45-1/2”. Condition: Good for its age, normal wear and aging expected. Everything appears to function correctly. Please look closely at the pictures - they are an important part of our description. Shipping: There will be a $15 handling / packaging fee for shipping this lot. The actual cost of postage will be added on top of that. *****ANTIQUE - This firearm DOES NOT REQUIRE an FFL Transfer*****
