Winchester Model 1885 special order single shot High Wall rifle, .38-55 cal., 30" octagon barrel, #3 weight, blue and case hardened finish, select walnut stock with Monte Carlo cheek piece on left side, andnickel plated Swiss style butt plate; single set trigger, windage and elevation adjustable tang sight, target type front sight of later vintage in front dovetail; there is a blank in the rear sight dovetail. The gun numbers14078; the barrel shows 85-95% original blue, some just beginning erosion and pinprick pitting in a few small areas at the edges, with crisp markings and some very bright blue. The frame shows 60-80% case hardeningwith some browning, toning, but still strong areas of rainbow colors. The stocks are very good+ with just some slight handling marks, most of their varnish, and at least 1X, possibly 2X. The action is tight, themarkings are sharp, the bore is bright and near excellent. Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries. International buyers agree to pay all cost incurred including all shipping, insurance, exporter fees, all custom and duty fees associated with shipment. Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Regulations apply and MUST be strictly followed.
