Winchester Model 1885 single shot Hi Wall rifle, .50 Express cal., 30” octagon factory re-barrel displaying Winchester dual proofs on barrel and receiver at breech, No. 3 barrel, blue and case hardened finish, plain wood stocks, #76056 in overall fine to excellent condition showing approx. 97% blue on barrel, areas of muted original case colors on receiver with balance gone to a silvery tone, fine bore, crisp action and markings, fine wood stocks with factory ebony inset at front of fore end, some minor storage dings and scratches and a slight chip to the right side edge of the butt stock at the upper tang corner, correct blued steel butt plate; adjustable Marble’s tang sight; front base is correct, just missing its blade. A great .50 EX. Model ’85 that would fit nicely in any serious single shot or Winchester collector’s gun room. Est.: $5,000-$8,000.
