Winchester Model 1885 High Wall single shot rifle in .38-55 caliber with 30” octagon No. 3 barrel, set trigger, added sling swivels, period carved stock, serial number 33809. This rifle remains in very good plus original condition and shows 75% to 85% original bright blue on the barrel with some storage grease and light rust that may clean. The frame shows 30% to 50% case hardening within a silvery gray patina with some beginning light erosion and dirt from storage that will cleannicely. The stock is very good plus condition with floral carving on the forend and the name “Bertha” carved in the left center of the stock along with a Knight’s crest with cross at center portion of the right rear butt stock. The edgesand barrel address are crisp and the bore is near excellent and very bright. Out of a local collection and has not been lettered yet. Est.: $1400-$2800.
