Winchester Model 1876 lever action rifle in .45-75 caliber with 28” octagon barrel, full magazine, rifle butt with considerable original blue finish remaining, serial number 49140. The barrel shows 75% to 85% originalblue thinning and drifting on the edges. There is a small area of pitting that was lightly cleaned long ago and now aging back nicely. This area of slight cleaning is about an 1” long and 12” back from the muzzle andis not unsightly. The barrel address is sharp and crisp and the edges are also very sharp. The magazine tube shows 80% to 90% thinning and toning original blue. The frame shows 75% to 85% original blue drifting on the edgesand side plates are thinning. There is some scattered light to moderate erosion and some minor scratches with a few areas of very slight cleaning long ago also. The stocks are good to very good with just some minorscratches, normal aging and slight wear. The stocks retain 50% to 60% original varnish and show a very proud wood to metal fit. The dust cover shows 80% bright original blue and there is some good blue on the rail. The
