Winchester Model 1876 lever action rifle in .45-60 caliber showing 28” octagon barrel, full magazine, rifle butt, folding express type rear sight, serial number 27518. This 1876 remains in exceptional untouched and out of the at atticcondition from an old collectors estate. Approximately 75%-85% original blue remains with some drifting to the patina, dried oil, scattered erosion, beginning pinprick pitting and some light rust that is cleaning while we have oiled it. The stocks are good to very good with some minor dings, dents, mars and scratches but fit up to the metal perfectly and would also clean well. The barrel address and markings are sharp and clear also the edges are crisp. The hammer and levershow considerable case hardening beneath a light patina. The dust cover and loading gate show 50% -70% original blue. The action works well and the bore is bright and remains in at least very good condition. A strong 7+ on a 1 to 10 scale that may clean to an 8 or better and is exactly the way collectors like to find antique guns. Est.: $3500-$7000
