Winchester Model 1876 in .50-95 caliber, special ordered deluxe rifle with 22” round barrel, button magazine, checkered deluxe pistol grip stock, shotgun type steel butt plate, two leaf folding rear sight, serial number 19527. This rifle remains in original good to very good condition with 70% to 80% original blue on barrel evenly drifting and toning to a natural patina. The barrel address is sharp and the metal on the barrel is fairly crisp with just some minor surface erosion and light normal aging. The frame shows 20% to 40% case hardening within a grayish patina that is somewhat mottled but still some silvery and light colors showing. The frame has a few areas of minor pitting and normal age. The stocks have been refreshed slightly but fit the metal well and are at least very good. The checkering has been sharpened professionally and is almost undetectable. The original Winchester express .50 caliber dust cover is retained and the action is good, the bore is very good and still bright showing just normal use. .50 caliber deluxe rifles were very limited in production and are always desirable to collectors.
