Winchester Model 1873 lever action rifle in .44-40 caliber with 24” octagon barrel, full magazine, rifle butt, serial number 306340B with special order set trigger. The metal surfaces show 10% to 20% plus original blue finish drifting to a light gray brown patina. The edges are fairly sharp with crisp barrel address and caliber marking. The rear sight is a large buckhorn of the type manufactured out west with a Marbles front sight both in original dovetails. The stocks show some weathering and opening to the grain, scratches, small losses but are generally good. The butt plate show some pitting and darkening. The hammer and lever show traces of case hardening and the loading gate shows some bright original blue. The action is good and the bore is dark but may clean as it was the home of a critter.
