Manufactured in 1882, his particular example is a Third Model with the distinctive integral dust cover rail. German silver blade front and buck horn rear sights on a factory replacement barrel marked with the two line address/King's patent marking followed by "MADE IN U.S.A." and ".38 W.C.F." on the left side. The model designation is marked on the upper tang, the serial number on the lower tang, the number "34" in front of trigger, and "38 CAL" on the bottom of the brass cartridge elevator. A Birmingham proof is stamped on the frame. Full magazine, all blue finish with casehardened hammer and lever. Smooth forearm with iron end cap and straight grip stock with a special order shotgun style buttplate.

Condition: Fine as factory rebarreled. The barrel and magazine retain 90% of the faded blue finish thinning to a brown. The frame has mixture between brown and gray patina with some minor pitting. The buttplate has a smooth dark patina. Overall there is some scattered minor spotting (heavier on the buttplate). The wood is fine with a small deep dent on the forearm and some minor scuff marks on the buttstock, along with some minor dings and scratches. Mechanically fine.
