Description: Presented for sale in this lot, we offer a nice, Winchester Model 1873 .38-40 caliber lever action rifle. One of the most popular models ever, the Model ’73 is often referred to as “The Gun That Won The West.” This one has octagon barrel and full length magazine tube. The wood and other parts appear to be original. It shows much use on the exterior. The bore seems pretty good. There is still rifling evident when a bore light is shown down it. Looks like it could use a good cleaning. Maker: Winchester Approx. Age: 1886. Serial# 221203B Size: Barrel measures 24” with an overall length of 44”. Condition: Fair for its age, wear expected. Everything appears to function correctly. Please look closely at the pictures - they are an important part of our description.
