Winchester Model 1866 SRC in .44 rimfire, S/N 161088. This carbine remains in very good original condition showing sharp BBL address with strong traces of blue mixed in with a brown patina on the BBL and tube. Some minor erosion and pitting started but just normal age. The frame is sharp and crisp with factory lacquer turned gold color often mistaken by amateurs as gold plating. Traces of finish on loading gate, bolt and small parts. The wood is very good plus with minor scratches, dents and imperfections. The action is good and the bore is worn but above average overall. Tight edges to side plates and a very pleasing frame. Made 1883. Est.: $6,000-$12,000
