Winchester Model 1866 "Flatside Carbine .44 rimfire caliber, serial #14827. One of approx. 1000 produced and rarer than Henry by 10 times. This Carbine remains in good to very good condition with a good frame showing light cleaning long ago and light refinishing to the wood. The barrel shows brown with hints of blue in the patina. The magazine tube shows some pitting. The barrel address is not legible. The lever latch and a few screws are old replacements. The stockmatches. The butt plate is unnumbered but appears correct to this rare Flatside Carbine. The rear of the breech at top of frame has been slightly cut out for ejection and bore is rough. A better than average and rare '66 which would fetch over$100,000 in excellent condition. Est. $6,000-12,000
