Winchester Lee straight pull rifle, .236 cal., 25-1/2” round barrel, blue finish, wood stock, #246 in overall good condition showing considerable muted blue finish, overall good bore, action and markings, barrel tapped for scopemounts and later filled; top of receiver markings defaced; adjustable Lyman receiver sight; stock is overall fair to good showing scattered mars, scratches and an old crack along the right top edge of the fore stock area that has beenrepaired; checkered Winchester hard rubber butt plate with slight loss at bottom toe; same slight old loss to wood and 2 small holes in bottom of butt stock at rear, possibly at one time for a sling swivel. Per Flayderman’s, approx. 20,000made between 1895 and 1902; interesting as made to be clip fed via its box magazine. (Antique). Est.: $500-$1,000.
