These scarce rifles were manufactured with the same action as the Winchester-Lee Straight Pull Rifle adopted by the U.S. Navy in 1895 and chambered for the then revolutionary 6mm Lee (.236) cartridge. The rifle has pinned blade front, adjustable buckhorn rear and Lyman side mounted (possibly 5A) receiver sights. The barrel has the two line address on the top, two line nickel steel marking on the left and ".236 U.S.N." at the breech. The left side of the receiver has the two line patent dates marking. Smooth pistol grip stock with groove forearm, factory hard rubber grip cap and smooth shotgun buttplate.

Condition: Fine. The rifle retains 50% faded original blue finish with the balance a smooth gray patina showing a few small patches of minor pitting. The stock is very good with numerous scattered minor handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
