Winchester First Model 1873 Lever Action Saddle Ring Carbine
Manufactured in 1877. Blade front and two-leaf folding rear sights, with "P" stamped next to the rear sight and no other visible markings. Receiver has the proper mortised dust cover rails (cover absent), saddle ring on the left side and visible threading on the lever latch. Smooth straight grip stock, with a single barrel band, a sling swivel on the underside of the buttstock, and a curved buttplate with storage compartment.

Condition: Fair. A mixed artificial brown and gray patina is showing overall, with pitting and scratches. A darker blue color is present on the right side plate. Stock is replaced, with a crack in the right side of the wrist, pressure dents and scratches. Mechanically good.
