<B>Wilmington, CA</B></I> - $10 1902 Plain Back Fr. 626 <B>The First NB</B></I> Ch. # (P)9515<BR> This is an extremely rare note from the sole bank to issue in this Los Angeles County locale. The only offerings from this one bank location during the past sixty years have come when major collections have been offered, in this case a 1990 appearance in the Krakover collection, a 1999 appearance in the Colver sale, a fluke 1999 appearance in a CAA sale of a lower grade piece, and then the reappearance of that piece in our Horwedel collection sale in 1994. This specimen, from the Kansas City collection, is the nicest Wilmington note known save for the Krakover example, which has been off the market for nearly two decades.
